Kris Aquino is leaving The Buzz and Showbiz News Ngayon and I know the show is not the same without Kris. Big adjustments will happen to all of the two shows' followers when she leaves. Who will replace her will remain to be seen. Hope it will not be someone as boring as Ruffa.

Kris has already explained in a Funfare “scoop” that what she said was if she would be a hindrance to Noynoy’s presidency (kung magiging pabigat siya kay Noynoy), and President-apparent Noynoy has told Kris to stop the kadramahan already and again said recently that Kris has no reason to leave the country since she hasn’t committed a crime against it or against anybody. Period.
But, yes, Kris is, indeed, leaving very soon — not the country but as host of the ABS-CBN talkshow The Buzz (which she co-hosts with Boy Abunda and KC Concepcion) and the late-night showbiz newscast SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon).
As she announced on The Buzz last Sunday, Kris had a lunch meeting yesterday with ABS-CBN big bosses Gabby Lopez, Charo Santos-Concio and Cory Vidanes, and she promptly texted Funfare the following message:
Hi, Tito Ricky. I promised you an update. We had a fruitful meeting with Boss Gabby, Ma’am Charo and Tita Cory. All my sisters (Ballsy, Viel and Pinky) were with me. Effective June 30 when Noy is proclaimed (sworn in) president, I will graciously give up hosting both The Buzz and SNN. It’s a decision I am at peace with because I know that I will lessen Noy’s stress by leaving two shows I love dearly, but could unintentionally be sources of controversy.
I told you that I have my entire being to help my brother win, and now I will continue to give my entire self to help him succeed as president of our country. If that means sacrificing my exposure and income from two shows I am so closely identified with, then that is what being family is all about, putting the good of all above personal interest. Much love to you. Ikaw lang ang ti-next ko.
Sorry, Ruffa (Gutierrez) but you won’t have to order lechon from Cebu for the “despedida” planned for Kris by her Twitter non-fans. And Lolit (Solis), you won’t have to hire a taxi to escort Kris to the airport because even if she’s “leaving,” it won’t be, I repeat, the country by only her two shows on ABS-CBN.

Just to make it clear, Tito Ricky, in case I’m misinterpreted, I will continue with (the teleserye) Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo and (the reality-TV) Pilipinas Got Talent. ABS-CBN is now looking at other shows that would be best suited for me after the teleserye ends in August.

Really now, could you imagine how drab and boring and unexciting local showbiz would be without Kris Aquino? Honestly, I could not. So I’m glad that Kris may be “leaving” (her two shows) but she’s, as I’ve been saying, here to stay.

SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan, Philippines—Ballsy Aquino-Cruz said the Aquino family has asked youngest sister, Kris Aquino-Yap, to take a leave of absence from her daily television soap so she could join the campaign rallies of their brother, Senator Benigno Aquino III, in the last two weeks of the campaign.
They asked Kris if it would be possible that her character in the television drama "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" could be "killed" but she said this was not possible.
Instead, Ballsy said, Kris told them that her character would meet an accident and would be hospitalized, requiring lighter taping schedules that would allow her to join the stumps around the country.
Ballsy said they wanted Kris on the campaign trail because people always look for her.
"Kung dati every other day lang makapag-campaign si Kris, ngayon po after ng palabas sa teleserye niya na maaksidente… at mawawala muna siya pansamantala sa palabas, magiging madalas o araw-araw na po siya makapag-campaign for Noynoy (It used to be that Kris would join the campaign every other day. Now, after the episode in her TV soap, where she would meet an accident and would be hospitalized, is shown, she will be able to campaign for Noynoy frequently or every day)," she said.
Ballsy, who was here on Friday on the invitation of the Kababaihang Barangay ng San Miguel, said she and her siblings were already used to questions from people asking about Kris' whereabouts.
She said with Kris' full calendar, she could not grant all requests for appearances in various campaign-related events.

Kris is Kris. You either love her or hate her. I love her. Why? Because she’s so real and she’ll tell you like it is. I like people like that. But once she finds out that she has hurt you, immediately she will tell you she’s sorry. So is Kris going to be a big help for Noynoy’s campaign? Absolutely Yes! People, especially the “masa”, believe her and finds her amusing and entertaining even when she’s emotional. But of course, she’s not the only reason Noynoy might win. Filipinos, for the most part, is hungry for a change and hopes that the country will be saved from Gloria’s so-called evil powers.

When sought for reaction, 34-year-old Vice Ganda told “The Buzz” on Sunday: "Ay naku! Hindi pa natin alam pero abangan natin. Abangan ninyo kung saka-sakaling mapasama ako sa ‘The Buzz.’ Sabay-sabay ninyo akong salubungin.”

There is no confirmation yet if Vice Ganda will join “The Buzz,” but the stand-up comedian and “Showtime” judge already won the hearts of Aquino and Abunda.
Aquino said: "I-join na natin ito, sige na. Boy, let's share na lang for the TF (talent fee) of Vice Ganda. Kunin konti sa iyo, kunin konti from me para masali na siya dito."

Kris poured out her sentiments in The Buzz yesterday and a lot of people were touched. I was. I felt her pain for her family especially for Noynoy. For palace to come out to remind the voters not to get carried away by Kris’ tears, they must be really threatened. Kris has made many mistakes in life and who hasn’t? Only the perfect can cast the first stone. But no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. The only difference is that Kris is never afraid to talk about hers. She is very transparent, honest, and vocal. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
For their reactions, Annabelle Rama and Raymond Gutierrez have said hurtful words to Kris Aquino as well, and Annabelle was totally out of line for involving Noynoy Aquino on the issue. Now that Kris Aquino has humbled down and apologized to both Ruffa and Annabelle Rama, only an apology coming from the Gutierrez family to Noynoy Aquino especially, will close this issue.
Here is what I think of this: Kris Aquino is tactless and that’s a given. She’s born with the gift of gab and is perfect to host any talk show. She is fearless, bold, articulate, and intelligent. But she is also sensitive and quick to ask for forgiveness once she realizes that she has crossed the line and has hurt someone. Kris tells us as it is – because she’s honest and straight forward. Hence, the title Queen of All Media. On the other hand, Ruffa, who is gentle, sensitive, and emotional, is also as smart and makes a lot of sense in her comments but a no match to gabbers like Kris and Boy. What she needs is not a talk show like The Buzz but a beauty show where she can show her own expertise. But then when is Ruffa going to be independent? When can she learn to fly on her own? Has she ever tried thinking on her own without Annabelle dictating everything to her? But then I also understand that it must be hard to have a mother like Annabelle who wouldn’t let her children go and grow up.
I’ve seen so many talk shows and some of them are really brutal. In case you have not seen one, a talk show in the US called “The View” is a very good example. The four women hosting the show chats, discuss, and argue with each other and sometimes I wonder if this or that host will still show up the next day. But off air, they all claim that they have camaraderie and hangs out together as friends. To them, the talk show is just a job that they have to do well.

Sa panayam ng GMA News kay Kris kahapon, March 8, sinabi niyang pinanood niyang muli ang video ng episode ng The Buzz noong Linggo kung saan nagsimula ang isyu sa kanila ni Ruffa.
"I wanted to make sure na nung pinanood ko sarili ko, ako mismo, as a viewer, mapi-feel ko na affectionate naman yung teasing. Nung sinabi ko na, 'Aminin mo, iba talaga ang level ng saya dito,' parang ang ibig kong sabihin do'n is mami-miss mo rin kami talaga,'" paglilinaw niya.
Ayon kay Kris, pinanood din daw ng mga kapatid niya ang tape ng naturang episode The Buzz at isang importanteng bagay raw ang ipinunto ng mga ito sa kanya.
"Ang sinabi ni Ate [Ballsy], 'Siguro Krissy dapat i-consider mo rin what it's like to be saying goodbye. And siguro on our family's end, kung tayo naka-cause ng pain para sa kanila, or nabigyan sila ng stress dahil sa hindi mo naman sinasadyang nagawa, take it upon yourself and do this for Mom,' sabi ng ate pa," kuwento ng bunsong anak nina former President Cory Aquino at former Senator Ninoy Aquino.
Ipinarating din ni Kris ang kanyang kagustuhan na magkaayos na sila ni Ruffa at ng pamilya nito.
"Kung ako po, bilang miyembro ng pamilya Aquino, nakasakit sa damdamin nila, ng mga Gutierrez, pinapaabot ko po, on behalf of my family, wala po talaga kaming masamang intensiyon and bukas na bukas po sa kalooban ko na sana maging magkaibigan pa kami ni Ruffa, most especially," pahayag niya.
Naiintindihan din daw ni Kris kung bakit nakapagbitiw ng masasakit na salita ang ina ni Ruffa na si Annabelle Rama laban sa kanya at maging sa kapatid niyang si Noynoy Aquino. Sa panayam kasi ni Annabelle sa Showbiz Central noong Linggo rin ay nanawagan ito na huwag iboto si Noynoy bilang presidente dahil hindi pa man daw ito nananalo ay "mayabang" na si Kris.

Nakausap ng media si Ruffa kaninang hapon, March 9, sa first taping day niya bilang judge ng Talentadong Pinoy sa Skydome sa SM North Edsa. Ang Talentadong Pinoy ay isa sa mga programang gagawin ni Ruffa sa exclusive contract na pinirmahan niya sa TV5.
Inamin din ni Ruffa na nasaktan siya sa mga "parinig" sa kanya ni Kris sa "P.O.V." segment ng The Buzz noong Linggo na naging dahilan ng kanyang pag-iyak.

For those who are as tackless as Kris, you will understand Kris better. But one thing why Kris' attitude is always forgiven is her quickness to ask for forgiveness, humbling herself right after she realizes she's hurt someone and that is admirable. On the other hand, it's in Ruffa's nature to be gentle and harmless but she should never allow herself to be intimidated by Kris because anywhere she'll go in showbiz, there will always be someone with Kris-like attitude. But I've watched every episode of The Buzz and I can tell that Ruffa do make a lot of sense in her comments. She's not dumb. She's not stupid either. She just know how to carry herself well at all time.

And I only have good words to say about her.

My brother Noynoy would like to add that we live in a democracy.
One where we are very free to make our own choice for president.

What irked Kris is how some people have dragged her brother Noynoy into the brouhaha when Noynoy has absolutely nothing to do with it. An uncle of Mayen’s insinuated that he wasn’t going to vote for Noynoy, which was uncalled for. It's fiesta in the political arena because Kris' latest incident is being used against Noynoy and that is just stupid. Kris did the right thing and many people are on her side in this issue. The fan-atic woman named Mayen was sending text messages after text messages to Kris' husband, James Yap. Kris did what every wife would do to protect her right and family. But to include Noynoy in the issue is just too shallow and nonsense.

Galing diumano sa isang nagngangalang Mayen Austria, o sa kampo nito, ang text message.
Narito ang kabuuang text message na nakarating sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ngayong umaga:
Published as is: "To everyone. Kris Aquino passed by house to make me sugod. She spoke to my mom. Very mad, berating us saying i always text and call james. That my mom didn't bring me up right. That we shouldn't be talking to married men. She said she's leaving james and to know that i am the last straw and the reason for their break-up. My family has great respect for Teopacos who are our family friend. Mrs. Teopaco is Cory's youngest sister. My mom raised us right. My mom didn't deserve all that. James missed called and texted na he warned me pupunta siya [Kris] sa house. He called me to apologize and say sorry. Kris said we had something going on. I don't deserve this. Most especially my mom. I have chemical depression and could have easily taken an overdose of pills because of the incident. With the hugs and love of my mom and sisters, and tranquilizers, i'm okay. Do you want Kris to be in malacanang."
BACKGROUND. Bago pa man lumabas sa media ang isyung ito ay nagkausap na sa telepono ang editor-in-chief ng YES! na si Jo-Ann Maglipon at ang prized talent ng ABS-CBN na si Kris Aquino, noong Miyerkules ng tanghali, January 13.
Sa pag-uusap na iyon, sinabi ni Kris ay ayaw niyang lumaki ang isyu, kaya't hindi niya ipinalalathala ang usapan nila ni Jo-Ann. Gusto lang daw niyang ipaalam sa magazine editor ang panig niya dahil nakaabot na sa kanya ang mapanirang text message na diumano'y galing kay Mayen Austria.
Idinagdag ni Kris na ang text message ay unang bumagsak sa telepono ng isa sa mga ate niya, na siyang nagpadala nito kay Kris. Ayon din sa TV host, wala siyang ideya kung kani-kanino na ito nakarating at kung sino sa media ang pinadalhan na ng gumawa ng original text.
"It reached my sister," sabi ni Kris sa telepono. "I imagine it could've been sent to more people, including the media."
Kung siya lang daw, hindi na ito dapat lumabas pa. "You won't see me putting this out on SNN. I'm not the one to start, and make this an issue. It's a domestic thing. But I can't control what others will do with this. I don't know if other editors and reporters have already been sent this text." Ang SNN, o Showbiz News Ngayon, ay ang Monday-to-Friday evening program ni Kris at Boy Abunda sa ABS-CBN, kung saan ang mga kaganapan sa local showbiz ay mabilis na naibo-broadcast.
Ang idinaramdam daw ni Kris ay ginagawang "political issue" ang isang bagay na para sa kanya ay isang "domestic issue."
Hindi maikakaila na sa kampanya para sa pagka-presidente ng Pilipinas ng kanyang kapatid na si Benigno Aquino III—o mas kilalang Noynoy—sa eleksyon sa Mayo, kakabit ang pangalan ni Kris. Sinabi na sa telebisyon ni Kris na all-out siya sa pagtulong sa kampanya ni Noynoy. Kasama na rito ang pagbebenta niya ng bahay nila ni James sa Valle Verde upang mapondohan pa ang national campaign ng kapatid. Tulong-tulong daw silang magkakapatid, lalo na ngayong yumao na ang ina nila, ang dating Presidente Corazon Aquino.
Kaya't kung sakali raw at makarating sa PEP ang text message na tinitira siya, pinahihintulutan niya ang PEP na ilabas na ang kanyang pakikipag-usap kay Jo-Ann.
Hindi nga inilabas ng PEP ang usapan nina Kris at Jo-Ann hanggang sa araw na ito, Biyernes, January 15—nang lumabas na ang isyu sa ibang media outlets, at matapos kuhanan ng pahayag ang kampo ni Mayen Austria.
KRIS'S STORY. Totoo raw na pinuntahan ni Kris si Mayen Austria sa bahay ng huli sa Valle Verde 2 sa Pasig City nung January 13, bandang 4:00 p.m. Ayon mismo sa TV host-actress, "two streets away" lang ang layo ng bahay nila ni James dito, at sinadya talaga niyang kausapin si Mayen.
Pero taliwas daw sa isinaad sa text message, hindi "inaway" o "ininsulto" ni Kris si Mayen at ang ina nito. Sa paglalahad ni Kris ng naging exchange nila, ito raw ay naging "frank" but "polite," "honest" but "civil."
Nabanggit ni Kris na kilala niya si Mayen dahil pareho silang galing sa Poveda Learning Center, isang exclusive high school for girls. Fan din daw si Mayen ng kinabibilangang koponan ni James sa Philippine Basketball Association, ang Purefoods, kaya't nagkikita sila sa mga games.
Inilahad ni Kris kay Jo-Ann ang pagkakatanda niya sa mga pangyayari noong Miyerkules ng hapon.
Kuwento ni Kris, kumakain daw sila ni James ng late lunch bandang alas-dos o alas-dos y medya ng hapon, January 13, sa Valle Verde home nila, nang mag-ring ang cell phone ni James. Sinagot daw ng kanyang asawa ang tawag sa harap niya, kaya dinig na dinig ni Kris ang nasa kabilang linya.
Babae raw ang boses. At may sinasabi raw na, "James, what's wrong with me? Ginawa ko na ang lahat, pero wala pa rin..." Tapos ay umiiyak na raw ito. Sumagot daw si James ng, "Kung ayaw sa iyo, huwag mo nang ipilit pa..."
Nagtaka at naguluhan daw si Kris sa narinig. Nang ibaba ni James ang linya, tinanong ni Kris kung tungkol saan ang tawag na yun. Dito na nalaman ni Kris na ang kausap ni James ay si Mayen Austria, na ayon sa cager ay nagko-confide sa kanya dahil iniwanan daw ito ng kanyang boyfriend.
