Palace threatened by Kris’ tears?

Kris poured out her sentiments in The Buzz yesterday and a lot of people were touched. I was. I felt her pain for her family especially for Noynoy. For palace to come out to remind the voters not to get carried away by Kris’ tears, they must be really threatened. Kris has made many mistakes in life and who hasn’t? Only the perfect can cast the first stone. But no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. The only difference is that Kris is never afraid to talk about hers. She is very transparent, honest, and vocal. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Judy Ann Santos is two months pregnant

MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) - Young Superstar Judy Ann Santos and her husband, host-actor Ryan Agoncillo, on Friday confirmed that she is two months pregnant with their first child.

Agoncillo held up an ultrasound image of their baby during Friday's episode of "Eat Bulaga," where Agoncillo is a co-host.

In an interview on TV Patrol World, Judy Ann said she had an ultrasound done early Friday to confirm that she was indeed pregnant.

"My pregnancy test was already positive but we didn't want to announce it because the obstetrician said we should hold off until there was a heartbeat," she said.

"We waited until we were really sure since we didn't want to give false hope to people."

She said she and her husband had been praying for a baby after getting married last April 28, 2009 in San Juan, Batangas. "We've been waiting for this for so long after the wedding. It was really good timing," she said.

Santos said that she had no preference on the baby's gender as long as the baby is healthy.

She added that because of the pregnancy, she would have to take it slow when it comes to work.

Aside from tapings for her hit Kapamilya teleserye "Habang May Buhay," Santos is also starring in 2 movies, one under Viva Films with Sarah Geronimo and another under Unitel, with Marilou Diaz-Abaya at the helm.

"Extra careful lang sa work, medyo magbabawas lang ng konti sa trabaho, pero tatapusin ko lahat ng nasimulan bago mag-bakasyon ng dire-diretso para maging safe ang baby at maging safe din ako," Santos said in a separate interview.

Asked what her message was to her husband, Santos joked: "Basta pondohan niya lang yong mga bata."

The TV Patrol World report said Santos has started developing a craving for "white food" including panna cotta, macaroni soup and turnips.

Gladys Reyes, Santos' co-star in the long running series "Mara Clara", also congratulated the couple upon learning the news.

"I'm very, very happy for both of them. It's a big blessing. Ano pa ba ang mahihiling natin sa kanila? Kumpleto na!" she said.

Agoncillo and Santos were first paired in the teleserye "Krystala" where their romance blossomed. They have starred in two movies together, "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo" and "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo" -- both of which have been box office hits.

Agoncillo proposed marriage to Santos on her 30th birthday in May 2008.

Gov. Vi - example of an ideal and fearless leader

Governor Vi is a very good example of what an incorrupt leader could do to implement the law and give justice to the poor and the nature.

First, she listened to scientists and lake community leaders who were alarmed by the slow death of a vital resource and the muddy taste of some lake-caught fish. Then Recto took charge, devoting government funds and key personnel and staking her own reputation on what was not initially a popular undertaking.

Thousands living in several lakeside towns were dependent on the fish-cage industry for their livelihoods. Fish cage owners fueled a thriving web of local government corruption. Moreover, some raised the specter of hunger if fish cages were reduced. Much of the tilapia and bangus supply in Metro Manila come from Taal Lake.

“We had been waiting for a long time for the government to look after our problems and support our cause," said Milagros Chavez, chair of the Kilusan ng Maliliit na Mga Mangingisda sa Lawa ng Taal (KMMLT), a Taal Lake people’s organization. Chavez added that only Recto showed any political will.

“If you have good intentions, you won’t be afraid (to implement the law)," Recto told GMANews.TV in an interview. “My intentions are clear. In the first place, they (fish cages) are illegal, that’s why you have to remove them even if you don’t want to."

She revealed that pressure was coming from businessmen and their political patrons to go slow on her cage dismantling campaign.

“What can I do? Maybe they cannot appreciate it now. But if they see how beautiful the lake has become again - there was no fish kill this year, fish catches were abundant - they will appreciate it later on," Recto said.

Keith Urban on wife Nicole Kidman's love

I got my copy of the special country music issue of People's Magazine because of an article about the marriage of my favorite actress Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. I love reading about their marriage because of it’s “so far so good” status and I hope and pray that their marriage will remain strong and intact, and will be able to survive all marriage related crisis that may come their way.

Nicole Kidman may play many roles – actress, mother, wife – but for husband Keith Urban there's another that's equally important: muse.

"It's been a profound impact [on my songwriting] to meet somebody who offered me a life and helped me become the person I wanted to be," Urban, 42, tells PEOPLE Country for its March issue.

As Urban tells it, sometimes Kidman's influence is literal. Take "My Heart Is Open," a track from his 2009 Defying Gravity album. "My wife and I had been out a couple of times and I wondered how she felt about me," he says, describing the song's inspiration. "It came out as, 'How is your heart?' She said, 'It's open.' "

Says Urban, "My God, what a beautiful answer."

Kidman, also 42, has also helped her husband through dark times, including a stint in Betty Ford Center for his alcohol addiction, and the Aussie singer says that, and the birth of his daughter Sunday Rose in 2008, has opened him up.

"I felt the power of love in all its phases," he says. "There was an expansion of color and joy."

As for daughter Sunday, there's the possibility that she could be just as much of a muse for Urban as her mother. "The next few months will be all about writing," he says. "I don't know how she's going to be a part of that yet." But, he adds, she's already given him "a new joy, a new sense of purpose."

Charice in Italy, bravo!

Lyrics in English:
I don't know where to find you
I don't know how to reach you
I hear your voice in the wind
I feel you under my skin
Within my heart and my soul
I wait for you
Adagio
All of these nights without you
All of my dreams surround you
I see and I touch your face
I fall into your embrace
When the time is right I know
You'll be in my arms
Adagio
I close my eyes and I find a way
No need for me to pray
I've walked so far
I've fought so hard
Nothing more to explain
I know all that remains
Is a piano that plays
If you know where to find me
If you know how to reach me
Before this light fades away
Before I run out of faith
Be the only man to say
That you'll hear my heart
That you'll give your life
Forever you'll stay
Don't let this light fade away
Don't let me run out of faith
Be the only man to say
That you believe, make me believe
You won't let go
Adagio

Aside from her acting talent, Peñaflorida said he also grew fond of Locsin because of her good heart.

Cornered on Sunday, it was Locsin's turn on the hot seat.

She told "The Buzz:" "Before pa magkaroon ng award sa kanya, magkaibigan na kami sa Facebook... Nagkita kami bago ako pumuntang Emmy. Sabay kami sa eroplano kasi. Doon kami nagkakilala talaga."

Amid reports that Peñaflorida is seriously pursuing courtship, Locsin gave her side on the issue.

"Dahil nga magulo ang buhay ko dahil nasa showbiz ako, ayokong 'yong hope na mabibigay niya sa mga tao maapektuhan dahil sa akin. Sinabi ko sa kanya kung ready na ba siya na harapin 'yong mga iyon... Gusto ko friendship muna ako," she said.

It's official, Claudine Baretto moved to GMA7

There is no doubt the Kapamilya played a big role in Claudine’s successes and we’re talking about 17 years together like a family. I think Claudine is making a big mistake but she kept saying that everything happened suddenly. Ano to, parang she just woke up one morning and found her fingers did some walking and signed those papers with Kapuso? Well, that’s her decision. Angel’s move was a blessing to her. Let’s see if Claudine will have the same luck. We hope naman. O di bah?

MANILA - Actress Claudine Barretto has left her mother network, ABS-CBN, to move to GMA 7.

On Wednesday, Barretto inked a 2-year contract with the Kapuso network at GMA Network Center. Reports said her parents accompanied her when she signed the deal.

Present during the contract signing were the network’s top executives, reports added.

This development came more than a month after she signed a two-film contract with Viva Films.

Barretto, a contract star of ABS-CBN for almost 17 years, was considered to be one of the biggest stars of the Kapamilya network.

In October, Barretto denied that she was leaving ABS-CBN in spite of signing a contract with Viva Films. Originally, she was scheduled to do a television series with her older sister, Gretchen Barretto, on ABS-CBN, but the project was cancelled.

Her last television series with ABS-CBN was "Iisa Pa Lamang" in 2008. This year, she appeared on "May Bukas Pa" as a guest star. [ABS-CBN News]

Oprah not taking the credit for Charice's success

We all know how Charice started her successful U.S. career and there is no denying that Oprah played a very important role in that success. But when Oprah was asked about how she'd helped the most talented girl in the world, Oprah humbly replied:

“I would have to say that my staff is responsible for that because I said to them, ‘Look, I’m not in the record business.’ And they said, ‘This girl has something.’ From the beginning, I brought Charice into a room and sat her down with some people whom I thought could help her. They were asking me, did I want to manage her? I don’t. I don’t want to make any money from her. I just want her to be as successful as she can.”

Charice eyes career in Hollywood - why not

MANILA – After starring in 20th Century Fox's live-action animation film “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel," conquering Hollywood is most likely next for international singing sensation Charice.

In the “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” Charice plays herself, the biggest rival of the Chipmunks in a singing competition. Like other Hollywood stars, Charice auditioned just to get the role.

"Kumanta ako ng mga Beyonce songs at ginaya ko ang boses ng chipmunks. Tuwang tuwa sila. After a week noong umuwi ako ng Pilipinas, tinawagan nila ako at nakuha ko ang role. Gusto nila ang role ko daw po ay bilang Charice,” she said in an exclusive interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com.

The film is yet to be screened in the United States, but the management of Warner Bros. is already discussing the possibility of her appearing in more movies in the future.

"Tinanong ako ng Warner kung ready na daw akong pumasok sa movie. After ng the 'Alvin and the Chipmunks,' doon ako na-convince na pwede na," Charice, a contract artist of Warner Bros. Records, said.

There are a lot of movie offers already, the YouTube sensation admitted. What she wants though is to appear first in a horror film.

"Hopefully, ay mabigyan nila ako [ng horror film project]. Sabi ko sa kanila ang gusto ko ay iyong parang 'Orphan' movie ang dating. Gusto ko ako ang pumapatay, ayoko nang ako ang pinapatay," she said.

Charice also wants to make a special appearance in a popular American television series, “CSI.”

She said: "Pwede din nila akong i-guesting sa ‘CSI.’ Like iyong mawawala ako at hahanapin nila ako.”

When "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" holds its premiere showing, meantime, Charice said she will attend the big event along with its American cast.

As of the moment though, Charice is focusing on her music career. She flew back to the US recently to complete her first international album.[ABS-CBN]
