Charice in Italy, bravo!

Lyrics in English:
I don't know where to find you
I don't know how to reach you
I hear your voice in the wind
I feel you under my skin
Within my heart and my soul
I wait for you
Adagio
All of these nights without you
All of my dreams surround you
I see and I touch your face
I fall into your embrace
When the time is right I know
You'll be in my arms
Adagio
I close my eyes and I find a way
No need for me to pray
I've walked so far
I've fought so hard
Nothing more to explain
I know all that remains
Is a piano that plays
If you know where to find me
If you know how to reach me
Before this light fades away
Before I run out of faith
Be the only man to say
That you'll hear my heart
That you'll give your life
Forever you'll stay
Don't let this light fade away
Don't let me run out of faith
Be the only man to say
That you believe, make me believe
You won't let go
Adagio

Ricky Lo: Gina shouldn’t say sorry to the Ranillos

This is from Ricky Los' article in Philippine Star today and I'm sharing it here because I totally agree that Gina should not say sorry to the Ranillos. Gina has the right to express her feelings whatsoever, especially about the woman who was said to be the cause of the breakup of her family. In my opinion, there was truth to the Manny-Krista rumors especially when Manny said that Krista is "katalik", ops, I mean "matalik" na kaibigan for Manny. So I don't understand why he had to apologized. Do you?

Yes, I agree with Gina Alajar that she shouldn’t apologize to the Ranillos who are demanding for a “public apology” from her after she uploaded on her Facebook a message to Jinkee Pacquiao, wife of Manny Pacquiao who is being linked to Krista Ranillo, daughter of Mat Ranillo III — you know, for Jinkee not to leave Manny because “Krista is not worth it.”

Unconfirmed reports mentioned Krista as one of the causes of the break-up of Gina’s marriage to Michael de Mesa years ago (the marriage has since been annulled).

“When I wrote something in my Facebook,” Gina told Funfare, “I was actually speaking for wives who are in the same situation as Jinkee.”

In the next breath, Gina added that she (and her four sons) are the ones who deserve an apology, presumably from the Ranillos, but to no avail.

“We’re waiting up to now but the apology hasn’t come yet,” said Gina.

Reminded that the Ranillos are threatening to haul her to court, Gina said, “I have never been charged in my whole life. If and when, it would be the first time.”

In short, Gina is ready to face the Ranillos in court.

Well, there will always be a first time.

If Gina could sing “for the first time” in public in the just-concluded Celebrity Duets, she can always “sing” in court, ehem, “for the first time.”

Meanwhile, more and more juicy items about Manny and Krista are coming out in print despite a “threat” by the Ranillos to also file charges against the “offending” media.

An unsolicited advice for Mat: Remind Krista to stay as far from Manny as she can especially when they are in public to prevent them from adding fire to the rumor. And if they, well, “can’t help it,” the two should at least keep things under wraps.

Manny Pacquiao showbiz na showbiz na?

No show up si Manny sa Gusi Awards dahil daw pinatawag siya ni President Gloria Arroyo sa MalacaƱang. Hello! Ang award ay naka-schedule no. Is this the beginning of the new Pacquiao attitude? So, at ano pa e di binawi ng Gusi ang award.

Seven-time world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has been stripped of the award given to him by the 2009 Gusi Peace Prize Awards. Reason: He was a no-show at the awards night held last Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Meralco Theater.
Somebody (identity withheld upon request) from the Gusi Awards said, “Pacquiao seemed to have belittled the Gusi Peace Prize Awards by ignoring it.”
All the other awardees were accounted for, including Lea Salonga, Preciosa Soliven and Fr. Joey Faller from the Philippines (Pacquiao would have been the fourth), and those from Cyprus, Thailand, Romania, Paraguay, Macau, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, Taiwan, Russia, Malaysia, Italy, Hong Kong and USA.
“If the other awardees could come...from other countries pa,” added the “somebody,” “why couldn’t Pacquiao samantalang nasa Laguna lang naman siya?”
Pacquiao did apologize, saying that he was summoned to MalacaƱang by Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at that time.
“But the awards night was scheduled weeks ahead,” said the “somebody.” “He could have dropped by even for a few minutes.”
Oo nga naman, di ba?

It's official, Claudine Baretto moved to GMA7

There is no doubt the Kapamilya played a big role in Claudine’s successes and we’re talking about 17 years together like a family. I think Claudine is making a big mistake but she kept saying that everything happened suddenly. Ano to, parang she just woke up one morning and found her fingers did some walking and signed those papers with Kapuso? Well, that’s her decision. Angel’s move was a blessing to her. Let’s see if Claudine will have the same luck. We hope naman. O di bah?

MANILA - Actress Claudine Barretto has left her mother network, ABS-CBN, to move to GMA 7.

On Wednesday, Barretto inked a 2-year contract with the Kapuso network at GMA Network Center. Reports said her parents accompanied her when she signed the deal.

Present during the contract signing were the network’s top executives, reports added.

This development came more than a month after she signed a two-film contract with Viva Films.

Barretto, a contract star of ABS-CBN for almost 17 years, was considered to be one of the biggest stars of the Kapamilya network.

In October, Barretto denied that she was leaving ABS-CBN in spite of signing a contract with Viva Films. Originally, she was scheduled to do a television series with her older sister, Gretchen Barretto, on ABS-CBN, but the project was cancelled.

Her last television series with ABS-CBN was "Iisa Pa Lamang" in 2008. This year, she appeared on "May Bukas Pa" as a guest star. [ABS-CBN News]

Ranillos demanding a public apology from Gina Alajar

The Ranillo camp is putting the blame on Gina Alajar calling Gina’s Facebook comment a destruction to Krista’s reputation. I don’t think Gina is at fault here. She has the right to say what she feels and thinks of Krista, doesn’t she? How about if the Ranillo focuses instead on those who actually sent photos which were kind of confirming the rumors. To demand Gina for a public apology is insane and stupid. I think the burden here should be put on Krista for behaving the way she did – look at those photos all over the internet again. One that particularly catched my attention was a photo with Krista liplocked with another woman - because this tells you already what kind she is. O di bah? Oh and btw, who was that woman with Manny who was trying to cover her face after the Kimmel Show? Is that Gina’s fault too?

Jinkee made this remark in an interview which is an indirect confirmation of what Gina has commented in her Facebook. Are the Ranillo’s going to demand a public apology from Jinkee too? O di bah?

In the interview, it seemed that the wife has indirectly confirmed the alleged illicit affair.
Jinkee called on Ranillo to find a single guy for her. The wife pointed out that Ranillo is still young and has a great future ahead of her.
She also reminded Ranillo that Manny is a happily married man with four children.

But I think Krista is actually gaining from this controversy because she is now a very famous personality, thanks to Gina Alajar. Watch video:

Should Jinkee Pacquiao thank Gina Alajar?

If you will ask how the supposedly “secret affair” of Manny and Krista was unfolded to the public, I think all fingers will point to Gina Alajar’s Facebook comment: “If I were Jinkee, I won’t give up on Manny; Krista is not worth it.”

Is it for reel or for real?

In the beginning, showbiz-watchers suspected that the ties that bind Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Krista Ranillo were connected to the promo (read: gimmick) of their movie Wapakman which is included in next month’s Metro Filmfest. You know how it goes in local showbiz: During the promo period, the lead stars are supposed to be in love with each other, the better to whet the public’s appetite for gossip. The “romance” is usually co-terminus with the release of the movie... unless further evidence proves otherwise.
Now, is everything we’ve been hearing about Krista and Manny for real? Could it be true that Krista, who graduated with honors from Ateneo (Interdisciplinary Studies with tracks in Communication and Psychology), is driving Pacman crazy and Pacman’s wife raging with jealousy? If so, what kind of pound-for-pound treatment is Krista giving Pacman?

Of course, it’s not the first time that Krista, who is in her mid-20s, is being linked to a married man. When she was sweet sixteen, Krista’s name cropped up as one of the reasons behind the break-up of Gina Alajar and Michael de Mesa. I asked Michael about it then and he answered only with an enigmatic smile. In last Sunday’s The Buzz, hosts Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino quoted what Gina wrote in her Facebook, something like “If I were Jinkee, I won’t give up on Manny; Krista is not worth it.”

I heard that Gina cried “Foul!” and took The Buzz to task for not asking her permission to quote from her Facebook. In the first place, if Gina had a piece of advice for Jinkee, why did she not just call or text Jinkee and not do it via her Facebook which can be accessed by your “friends” (one of whom could tip off a movie writer or a TV host)?
The rumor involving Krista and Pacman persists because of their public visibility together, to wit:

• Several weeks ago when Pacman and company took a vacation in Hong Kong, Krista was also there with Pacman’s (female) hairstylist who is said to be the “bridge” between the two;

• When Pacman distributed relief goods among the Ondoy victims, Krista was also with him. Take note: It’s not at all connected with their movie’s promo;

• When Pacman was training in Baguio for his fight with Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto, Krista was also there, reportedly giving Pacman, ehem, “moral” support, and that she exchanged “loaded” words with a sexy actress once also linked to Pacman; and

• When Pacman fought Cotto last Saturday (Sunday, Manila Time) in Las Vegas, Krista was there, seated at the far end with her father, Mat Ranillo III (also seen in some of the Krista-Pacman “sightings,” maybe acting as chaperon because the family is said to be “conservative”), and other members of the family; while Jinkee, with her twin sister, and their friends were at the ringside.

As Funfare reported the other day, Pacman’s two women crossed paths at the Chanel Shop in Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. The eyewitness said that “sparks nearly flew” when the two groups threw snide remarks at each other.

During Pacman’s post-fight concert at Mandalay Bay, he ignored a request to acknowledge and thank Jinkee onstage, making people conclude that, yes, there must be some trouble in the couple’s marriage, especially when Jinkee cried during the thanksgiving Mass for Pacman where the homily was about the importance of keeping the family intact at all costs and preventing anything that would break it.
Krista confirmed only to Funfare that she did see Manny in Hong Kong. That was the only time she ever talked about the “reel” romance that has become...so “real”?

But Krista, who was on the same flight with Pacman to Hong Kong, said that it was all coincidence just like when she bumped into Pacman at a mall in Hong Kong. Again “by coincidence,” they were on the same flight back to Manila, and she and her friends accepted Pacman’s invitation for them to ride in his car from the airport to where Solar Entertainment boss Wilson Tieng was celebrating his birthday. That was during the start of their “being seen together.” Since that admission, Krista has never answered calls and text messages. (Hi, Krista! The line is open anytime you want to tell the truth, er, to air your side.)

There are side bars to the story, to the effect that Krista’s dad is running (for congressman again?) in 2010 and he badly needs the support of Pacman who himself is again jumping into the political arena, undaunted by the TKO he got from Darlene Antonino-Custodio in the 2007 congressional race in South Cotabato.

The plot is getting thicker and thicker.

Pacman is arriving with Jinkee today from L.A. Can Krista be far behind?

After winning his seventh title in seven different weight divisions, can Pacman emerge with gloved right hand raised in triumph in what might be his eighth “title”?

Dejado or llamado?
You can place your bets now.

Manny Pacquiao and Krista Ranillo

Oh my God! If you have not heard this, ewan ko na lang sa yo. It's been the latest talk of the town that Krista is always "nakabuntot" kay Manny. Abah eh bawal na bawal iyan lalo na kapag may asawa na yung tao. They are also saying that Jinkee already know the so-called "affair" and that she will be having a talk with Manny after the fight in Vegas. This was said by Kris Aquino at "The Buzz".

Pa-alala lang, Manny, if there was any truth to this, o please, tigil na po agad before pa mag-giyera. Sabi nga ni Gina Alajar sa kanyang Facebook, Krista Ranillo is not at all worth it. Remember also, magiging very bad example ka niyan kuya. Sabi nga sa bibliya, what God gives, God can take away. Baka mauwi sa lahat yung gulping inaabot mo sa boxing. Opinyon at pa-alaala lang. O di bah?
