Charla Nash, the Chimp victim, shows her face on Oprah - watch video

Charla Nash was viciously attacked by a 200 lbs. Chimpanzee last February and has now appeared on Oprah to face the public. Her strength and positive attitude in facing and accepting what happened to her

was very inspirational. I could not explain the feelings I had once she removed the veil cover from her face. It felt like I felt some of the pains she must have had but there are no words to express the gravity of what she went through. I pray that she may be able to move on and live a normal life. Oprah not taking the credit for Charice's success


We all know how Charice started her successful U.S. career and there is no denying that Oprah played a very important role in that success. But when Oprah was asked about how she'd helped the most talented girl in the world, Oprah humbly replied:

“I would have to say that my staff is responsible for that because I said to them, ‘Look, I’m not in the record business.’ And they said, ‘This girl has something.’ From the beginning, I brought Charice into a room and sat her down with some people whom I thought could help her. They were asking me, did I want to manage her? I don’t. I don’t want to make any money from her. I just want her to be as successful as she can.”

With an estimated net worth of over $1 billion, an Academy Award nomination, an Emmy-winning hit talk show, an XM satellite radio show, successful magazines (O, The Oprah Magazine, along with O at Home), and a cable channel (Oxygen Media, which she co-founded), Winfrey is an international media phenomenon. But even Winfrey, whom some considered so powerful that her campaigning for President Obama sealed him the election, has been vulnerable as of late. First, her school for girls in South Africa was hit with the second sexual harassment scandal in two years.
