Yes, Vhong and Toni will once again team-up in a new movie together with Sarah Geronimo and Rayver Cruz. Siguradong aabangan iyan ng lahat inclucing moah. This is surely going to be a dream team movie of Star Cinema.
Continue Reading...Gerald Anderson is being considered as the next leading man for Sarah Geronimo, which could mean that Gerald has to be pulled away from Kim to give way to a Gerald-Sarah team-up, which is enough reason to make Kimeralds very unhappy and possible angry.
As reported by ABS-CBN News, with Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz's on screen team-up taking the back-seat after two highly successful films, rumor has it that the Pop Star Princess’s next leading man will be Gerald Anderson. But much like the initial negative reactions that surfaced when the Sarah-Lloydie love-team was announced, there are worries that pairing Gerald with Sarah might not be a good idea because Gerald’s current team-up with Kim Chiu is also a team up to beat. Sarah seemed to agree with this idea in an interview with The Buzz yesterday (March 15).
Gerald on the other hand, said that he has yet to hear about the offer. “Siguro chismis-chismis lang ‘yan kasi wala pa namang offer from Star Cinema mismo directly to me. Wala,” he explained.
The actor revealed that he and Kim are slated to film a movie this July, leading him to believe that a team-up with Sarah is not yet possible. But if ever this were true, this will only be temporary and that he will eventually be reunited with Kim. Kim also said that she is okay with the idea but that they have not yet received any announcement about this.
In the POV (Points, Opinion, Violent Reactions) of The Buzz, Kris Aquino revealed that Deo Endrinal, the production unit head of Tayong Dalawa, which stars Kim and Gerald, had a talk with Vic del Rosario, head of Viva Films which in turn manages Sarah’s career. “Kasi feeling naman daw niya, Sarah should be teamed (up) with somebody close to her age bracket. Si Gerald talaga among those age bracket, siya talaga ang nangingibabaw ngayon. So pinag-iisipan ‘yan,” shared Kris. Boy Abunda on the other hand said that he has a split opinion about the matter as far as the fans are concerned. Kim and Gerald have a very huge following but when Sarah was teamed up with John Lloyd in A Very Special Love he also was highly identified with Bea Alonzo, so one can not really tell. “It’s good to be paired with other partners but you have to be careful because you play with the public eh. Take into consideration how fans will take it. You have to manage kung ano ang pananaw ng tagahanga,” Boy commented.
Everybody is extra keeping watch of Sarah and Rayver to hopefully get a scoop of what's really going on between them. When Sarah mentioned in an interview before that Rayver was her crush - which super flattered naman si Rayver - rumors and speculations have never stopped. But Sarah insisted up to this day, that all they have for each other is nothing but admiration and friendship. She consistently said that she is not ready for any relationships and that her parents have also restricted her to any heart related commitment. Sarah has many admirers and there are many reasons for these guys to wish they are the man closes to her heart. Sarah is a very sweet, wholesome, funny, pretty, talented, kind and a respectable person. She also values her family which can mean that she is a potential good wife and excellent mother who will also value her own future family. Sarah is not the type of person who will do anything behind her parents back. So if Sarah says she's not ready for a love relationship yet, then she's not ready. This includes MU. But, in fairness, bagay talaga sila.
Sarah will travel 13 cities for her US concert tours. She and her whole family will be off for 48 days plus a few more days extension for a vacation. Sarah is 2008 queen of the box office and one of the most adored and well-loved screen personalities. Good luck to your concerst, Sarah!
Too much pressure daw ang naramdaman ni Sarah ng ina-nounce na mag-kakaroon ng pangatlong movie ang movie nila ni John Lloyd pero marami ang na-excite sa balita lalong lalo ng ang mga fans na nakaka-relate kina Laida at Miggy. The victory party of You Changed My Life last Monday night, March 9, turned out to be a very emotional one as Director Cathy Garcia-Molina thanked everyone who made the movie possible, especially those who worked behind the scenes. ABS-CBN has always taught us the value of meritocracy. And I think I am so guilty because hindi ko siya naisasabuhay. I failed to thank the people who have helped me finish a film every time… [Sa cast], you have made my tears go away literally. You all made me laugh. I know I can be a monster at times pero kayo yung nakakapitan ko every time,” she said in between tears during her moving speech.
John Lloyd Cruz also commended the crew for giving their all to the project despite the long working hours. Then he announced that he would share 10 percent of his fee to “the boys” who really went without sleep and baths for days just to deliver a quality movie on time for its playdate. And ako naiintindihan ko na we all live in a third world country. I don’t think they’re getting much of what they deserve. Ako I just want to share, para rin mas masarap ang tulog ko sa gabi,” he later explained to the network’s reporters who attended the occasion.
But the main highlight of the event was when Star Cinema Managing Director Malou Santos announced that there would be a sequel to You Changed My Life next year. “[You Changed My Life] made history because it’s the first sequel na ginawa sa Philippine movie history na isang love story na nagkaroon ng sequel at mas malakas pa sa original. So sundan ninyo ang sunod na kabanata sa buhay ni Laida at ni Miggy sa part three,” she declared much to everyone’s excitement, including ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio who was reportedly the one who wanted another sequel the most.
Sarah Geronimo, on the other hand, was a bit apprehensive when she heard the news because people’s expectations of her would be much greater, given the accomplishments that her two films have made in less than a year. “Wow na lang po ang masasabi ko. Risky yun.
As for John Lloyd, he feels sad that it would take some time before the said reunion movie would push through.
The two lead stars of the film also stressed how much they appreciate their fans’ all-out support ever since they did A Very Special Love last 2008. “Kung pwede ko lang kayo lahat i-powerhug! Ginulat ni’yo kami ng husto sa suporta na ibinibigay ni’yo sa You Changed My Life [at] sa tandem namin ni John Lloyd. At if ever magkaroon kami ng movie part three or ng part four, sana po nandiyan pa rin kayo. [Sana magpatuloy] yung interest ni’yo na ma-witness ulit kung ano na yung development sa love story ni Laida Magtalas and ni Miggy Montenegro,” she beamed.
You Changed My Life is now on its third week showing in theatres nationwide. Watch out for more updates about the Box Office team-up of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz here on ABS-CBN.com.

The crowd, during the premiere night, was unbelievable, even other celebrities came to watch and really enjoyed it. Inside the theatre, fans would super scream at every kilig scenes. Will the movie make Sarah and John Lloyd the Box Office King and Queen for 2009 for the second time is very possible but still remains to be seen.
Continue Reading...Sarah and John Lloyd is now officially the box-office King and Queen for 2008! Congratulations! But as expected, the very humble Sarah honored Ai Ai as the true box-office queen.
Yesterday, it was reported that Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz will be crowned Box-office King and Queen by the Guillermo Mendoza Awards for their movie A Very Special Love. Since the film is being pitted against Ai-Ai de las Alas’s Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat for the box office title, some are worried that tension would arise between the two.
When ABS-CBN.com caught up with Sarah though, she insisted that the country’s Queen of Comedy is more deserving of that title than herself. “Siyempre medyo na-bother po ako nung nalaman ko na may ganyang issue kasi katrabaho ko si Ms A. (referring to Ai-Ai). Kung sa akin nga lang po mas karapat-dapat talaga si Ms. A na tawaging Box Office Queen,” she said after the presscon of her movie You Changed My Life opposite John Lloyd Cruz.
As it happens, there are reports that Ai-Ai mentioned in previous interviews that she would be hurt if she fails to get the Box Office Queen award. “May nagsabi sa akin na parang [may issue nga daw involving the two of us]. Basta parang ano lang, alam ni Ms. A na siya talaga yung Box Office Queen,” stated Sarah, who clearly didn’t want to talk about such rumors anymore. Pero I guess gano’n talaga. Kumbaga si Ms. Ai-Ai may ipinaglalaban siya so basta yun nirerespeto ko,” she stressed.
Apart from those intrigues, there is also pressure for Sarah to do better in You Changed My Life after the phenomenal success of her first film. But the young singer-actress refused to be daunted by it all. I guess yun siguro advantage nun. Ayoko na i-entertain yung negative vibes and pressure. As long as nag-eenjoy kami at sinigurado naming maganda yung sequel, okay na ako dun,” she explained.
Her first onscreen kiss (as well as in real life for that matter) with John Lloyd Cruz happens to be a big deal amongst the local media and the moviegoers since they have been all waiting for Sarah to venture into more mature roles. But it seems that everyone has to wait until the opening of the movie to see whether she has taken this huge step or not. “Secret. Panoorin ni’yo na lang. Ayoko munang magkwento tungkol dun. Kumportable lang talaga akong katrabaho sila,” she maintained.
What’s really important to her now is that people will appreciate what she and the whole team of You Changed My Life have worked hard on. Iba rin talaga yung experience ko while doing A Very Special Love. So kung hindi man po ma-surpass, sana mapantayan man lang ng You Changed My Life yung nauna. [Rachelle Siazon/ABS-CBN]

The young singer/actress is now more open about her romantic life and about airing her opinions. She explained that her mother seems to understand the changes she is experiencing. I’m growing up. At si mommy ‘di naman po siya nagkukulang ng pagpapaalala sa akin na pag-aaral muna,” said the 20-year-old singer.
She explained that her Mommy Divine has told her that there is nothing wrong with talking to her crush, as long as they know their limitations.
Sarah said she’s in no hurry to look for her Mr. Right, preferring to patiently wait for the right guy to come along. [Bernie Franco]
Contrary to Kris' comment at The Buzz about Marian being the biggest or hottest star, well, Sarah is not only the hottest but also the most well liked and well loved star today. But just like everybody else, Sarah also has a new years resolution for 2009?
Sarah thinks she looked chubby at her recent concert. I think not. She looked alright to me. Sarah is one singer-actress that I admire so much: her simplicity, humility, and pleasant ways are truly admirable, and she earned my respect just like her millions of fans and admirers.
Year 2009 is going to be another very busy year for Sarah Geronimo. Rumor mill has it that ABS-CBN is planning to launch “Meteor Garden” as a teleserye and they are considering Sarah Geronimo to play the role of Shan Chai. If this is true, you can be assured it’s going to be another ABS-CBN big hit. She also started shooting the sequel of “A Very Special Love” with John Lloyd for Star Cinema which will be shown as a Valentines treat to their fans on February 25.
Early 2009, she will also bring her jam-packed “The Next One” concert from the Araneta Coliseum to all 14 cities in the US and Canada, together with Mark Bautista, Billy Crawford and Charlie Green.
There’s a lot more lined up for her to do in year 2009, not to mention in between concerts and record albums. Sarah is indeed the hottest star today, in the Philippines and abroad.
But what is Sarah’s wish for herself this Christmas?
She has a very positive outlook in life and in the way she response to every issue and situation that comes her way.
We’ll look forward to seeing more of Sarah in 2009.
Ito ang kumakalat na balita - that Sarah's success is making Regine feeling insecured. The talk started after the overwhelming success of Sarah's concert at the jam-packed Araneta Coliseum. Isang blooming at very beautiful na Regine Velasquez ang humarap during the press launch ng kanyang latest album entitled Low Key under Universal Records nitong Biyernes, November 14.Continue Reading...
“I haven’t been with them for quite a while now. Kaya nga I was able to do an album with Star Records for Paano Kita Iibigin. Pero they are still my friends. Boss Vic is like my tatay, so okay naman sila. Actually freelance naman ako, may contract lang ako with Universal for this album. So, I can still do an albm with Viva kung gagawa kami ng pelikula or kung ano man,” dagdag pa ng songbird.
“We still have to settle a lot of things, and as soon as we settle that, of course we already know what that is, so ayaw ko na munang isipin ngayon Hindi natin alam kung ano ang magiging resulta eh. Ayusin muna natin yun and then after that, we can plan,” sabi ni Regine.
“I’m very very proud of her. As you all know, I really really love that kid. She’s like my child. And she loves me to pieces. Nanay niya ako. I really am so proud of her. Yung sinasabi nilang she’s gonna be the next Regine Velasquez, for me nga that’s an honor. Kasi nga ako yung parang benchmark. Kasi nga noong araw, parang ako lang yung sinasabihan na ‘you’re gonna be the next ganito, ganyan’, but even before hindi ako naniniwala na may pinapalitan ka. I don’t mind (being compared). Kasi ganoon naman yun, even I were compared to ZsaZsa, to Kuh, to everybody. To my mentors also. Pero like I said, Kuh Ledesma will always be Kuh Ledesma. Sharon Cuneta will be Sharon Cuneta. So Sarah, will be Sarah” paliwanag ni Regine.
Yes, there is no stopping, for Sarah’s success continues to soar unstoppable. Her concert was completely packed with countless of fans and celebrities combined. The girl is very beautiful and truly amazing, and I’m a big fan. Her voice is as beautiful as Celine Dion and was also very sexy that night. There is no denying the fact that Sarah’s catapult to stardom is slowly but steady and consistent, and she is one of the very few stars who are truly wholesome, a role model, humble, and never a trouble maker and it's because it's just not her character. O di vah?Sarah Geronimo wowed her thousands of fans, including showbiz stars, who filled the Araneta Coliseum Saturday night to watch the highly successful major solo concert of the young singer dubbed “The Next One.”Continue Reading...
Her co-Kapamilya stars such as Billy Crawford, Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz and John Lloyd Cruz, her leading man in the box-office hit “A Very Special Love,” joined her onstage to perform at the packed Big Dome.
‘Yong mapasaya ko sila,” Geronimo said.
Thank you very much,” she added.
ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. president Charo Santos-Concio and Star Cinema’s managing director Malou Santos trooped to the Big Dome to watch the concert.
Geronimo’s friends from show business including Mark Bautista, Jericho Rosales, Anne Curtis, Luis “Lucky” Manzano, KC Concepcion, Eric Santos, Gabriel Valenciano and Rachelle Ann Go were also among the crowd.
Thank you very much for your support,” Geronimo said when interviewed by reporters after the concert.
When asked if she brought a special someone to the concert, the singer said: “Wala pa. Ok lang yan, it can wait.” [ABS-CBN/The Buzz]
