Ampatuan wealth investigated - why only now?

The government must know but must have looked the other way. In looking at those mansions of the Ampatuans built so comfortably while being surrounded by people of extreme poverty, you would think somebody would have noticed, questioned, or investigated them. But, out of fear, no one as in “no one” could dare because there’s too much power behind them. Keeping the poor people’s mouth shot makes them alive today. As they say: Arroyo is the president today because of the Ampatuan’s who gave her the Maguindanao votes 100% - and I’m sure there’s a lot of favors attached to it. It’s sad that 57 people had to die first before questionable wealth could get checked. Watch video.
