SNL Lorne Michaels on Palin: she's very powerful, people connect to her

SNL's Executive Producer Lorne Michaels' answer in an interview on what he think Palin gained from her appearance at Saturday Night Live:

I think Palin will continue to be underestimated for a while. I watched the way she connected with people, and she's powerful. Her politics aren't my politics. But you can see that she's a very powerful, very disciplined, incredibly gracious woman. This was her first time out and she's had a huge impact. People connect to her.

Exactly. That's how I feel too. People followed her like a star. Even as she was mocked at Saturday Night Live, she remained humble and a good sport. She may be be viciously attacked by the media but she's being admired so much by the voiceless majority.
